Film School and The Academy of Emerging Media

Plans provide for a Film School and The Academy of Emerging Media.  The Film School will provide training in film and cinematography with educational emphasis on feature films and stand-alone post-production/finishing projects, while the The Academy of Emerging Media will focus on the production of television programs, commercials, video games, broadcasting and the Recording Studio.

The Texas Film Commission (TFC) was created in 1971 by Texas Governor Preston Smith to "encourage the orderly development of the film, television, and multi-media production industry in Texas in order to utilize the state's vast array of natural, human, and economic resources which are uniquely suitable for that industry." Since then, the TFC has expanded to include the film, television, commercial, video game, and animation industries.  This provides almost limitless opportunity for expansion into an area that utilizes all educational aspects offered by CP/AA combined with the support and blessing of an industry in constant need of new talent.
